Taylor the Dog needs a home

This handsome, charming young guy is Taylor, a Chihuahua/Daschund mix who loves people and dreams of finding his forever home!   He's probably between one and two years old, is energetic and playful, but also loves to cuddle in your lap and soak up lots of attention - as much as he can get!  He weighs about 5 lbs. and likely won't get any bigger. 


 


Taylor came to us from a Bay Area shelter with an injured hip, and underwent an FHO (femoral head ostectomy) surgery to remove the top of his femur at the VMTH at UCD.  He certainly doesn't seem to miss it, since he's recovering very quickly and already walking on the repaired leg!  He gets along well with other dogs (he lives with 6 others at his foster home), but we're not sure about cats since he doesn't live with any right now.  He loves to hang out in the back yard and investigate every corner, and also likes to chew on beef hooves and squeaky toys.  But his favorite place is in a lap being petted.  Will you be his forever home and make his dream come true?
